Life isn’t always work, work, work and Jane believes that looking after yourself and encouraging staff to do the same is paramount to thriving in your working environment. When not out and about working, Jane can usually be found out on a bike in the woods somewhere, mucking about on a river or exploring the world.

An effective strategy

Mainly Mental Health operates a thorough, well researched and tested strategy which has three key areas:

1. Sensitise

We lay the groundwork by offering training which enables staff at all levels to talk about mental health openly and constructively, to providing information and resources to help address the issues and begin to build awareness.

“A healthy workplace is one where employees and managers work together to protect and promote their health, safety and wellbeing and the sustainability of the business” (World Health Organisation)

2. Skills

Through the delivery of quality training we empower people with the skills they need to support themselves and each other. We are able to tailor our offering to match your organisation’s needs, and we provide ample resources to help you to spread the support throughout your workplace. We provide trainers with the skills you need to engage your learners in your environment.

3. Sustainability

We provide support and guidance to build upon the results initially achieved and to make this approach a natural part of your organisation’s way of working. Regular review, peer support networks and mentoring schemes are available to help keep these vital issues high on the agenda and ensure that the benefits continue to accrue in the future.
